Fit Net Gym Network Regulations
Scope
JUMATIC, S.A. ("Company"), with registered office at The Tower, Rua do Silval, 37, Sala 1.4, 2780-373 Oeiras, Portugal, company number 518082229, is the entity responsible for managing the Fit Net gym network.
These Gym Regulations ("Regulations") set out the rules governing the operation, access, and use of all gyms within the Fit Net network ("Network"), and are binding on all users, including members, staff, business partners, and suppliers ("Users").
These Regulations are displayed at each gym and are also available via the Fit Net App and website.
Access Conditions
Access to the Network is subject to:
- A valid and effective membership agreement
- Payment of applicable fees
- Compliance with the membership terms and these Regulations
For minor users, the legal guardian shares responsibility for ensuring compliance.
Membership is strictly personal and non-transferable. Members may not transfer access rights or be accompanied by non-members within the gym.
Access is only permitted during opening hours, which may be amended at any time by Fit Net.
The entry or presence of plants and animals is prohibited, except for legally recognised assistance dogs.
Fitness to Exercise
Users, particularly Members, are responsible for ensuring they are fit to engage in physical activity before using any facilities, equipment, or services.
Users should seek prior advice from a doctor, physiotherapist, or healthcare professional where necessary.
Exercise should be avoided or restricted in cases such as:
- Acute illness or infection
- Muscular or joint injuries
- Post-operative recovery
- High-risk pregnancy
- Severe fatigue or exhaustion
- Gastrointestinal issues
- Cardiovascular or respiratory conditions
- Chronic or degenerative diseases
- Neurological or psychiatric conditions
If any such condition is identified, Fit Net staff may require the User to cease exercising immediately.
If a User feels unwell:
- They must not begin exercising
- If symptoms arise during exercise, they must stop immediately and seek assistance
Users must not consume or introduce prohibited substances.
Conduct and Dress Code
Members must behave respectfully and appropriately, ensuring they do not disrupt others.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment or abusive behaviour
- Violence, discrimination, racism, or intolerance
- Smoking, alcohol consumption, or illegal substances
Appropriate sportswear is mandatory:
- T-shirt/top and shorts or tracksuit bottoms
- Suitable sports footwear
Not permitted:
- Bare torso
- Flip-flops or unsuitable footwear
Members must:
- Use towels when using equipment
- Return equipment after use
Mobile phones may be used only if they do not disturb others.
Photography, filming, or audio recording is prohibited without prior authorisation, to protect user privacy.
Use of the Training Area
Users must:
- Follow staff instructions
- Request guidance when unsure how to use equipment
Staff may require a Member to leave the training area if:
- Their behaviour compromises safety
- They disrupt normal operations
During rest periods and after use, equipment must be made available to others.
Removable equipment must be returned to its designated place.
Members are liable for damage caused through negligent or improper use.
The training area closes 30 minutes before gym closing time.
During peak hours, equipment use is limited to 20 consecutive minutes per Member.
Changing Rooms
Fit Net does not provide:
- Towels
- Personal hygiene products
Private lockers are not available.
Lockers are for temporary use only during gym visits. Fit Net accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage.
All lockers are emptied daily after closing:
- Locked lockers will be opened
- Padlocks may be broken if necessary
- No compensation or replacement will be provided
For hygiene reasons, Members must not:
- Store or consume food or drinks
- Bring glass containers
- Shave or carry out hair removal outside designated sink areas
Right to Refuse Access or Remove Users
Fit Net reserves the right to deny access or request a Member to leave if:
- There is a breach of contract or Regulations
- Behaviour disrupts operations or lacks proper conduct
- Dress code is not respected
- Safety of individuals or services is compromised
Incidents
Any accidents or injuries must be immediately reported to Fit Net to allow insurance procedures to be activated.
Lost property will be held for 15 days. After this period, items may be disposed of without compensation.
Interpretation
Any questions regarding interpretation of these Regulations will be clarified by qualified fitness staff or the Technical Director.
Validity and Amendments
These Regulations are valid for an indefinite period.
Fit Net reserves the right to amend them at any time. Changes take effect the day following their publication on the App and website.
